Partner links

Niwa is free on one phone and $9.99 once to share a household. There are no ads and no subscription. To help keep it that way, Niwa may point you to a few services at the moment they are useful, through partner links. If you buy something through one, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra.

Where they may appear

Only next to something you are already doing, for example:

• buying the fertilizer or potting mix you wrote in a schedule's notes,
• finding a pot when you add a repotting schedule,
• finding someone to water your plants when you plan a trip.

Never in reminders or notifications and never on the Today screen's checklist.

How they work

• Every partner link is marked “Partner link” right next to it.
• It is a plain link that opens in your browser. Niwa does not send the partner anything about you, your plants or your household, and adds no tracking code to the app. The partner's site may note that you came from Niwa, and its own privacy policy applies there.
• No partner can pay to change what Niwa says or shows about your plants' care. Niwa never says what a plant is, what is wrong with it or what to treat it with, and a partner link never will either.
• When partner links arrive in the app, a switch in Settings will hide them all.
